The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is seeking an Associate Teacher to support children and teachers, uphold the organization’s mission, and ensure health and safety in the classroom. Qualifications

• Must have associate teacher qualification (HS diploma and 9 credits) in child development or early childhood education.
• Must be 18+ and have 1,500 hours working in a school-age licensed program.
• Knowledge of current methods, principles, and techniques of teaching.
• Knowledge of curriculum development and application.
• Ability to plan and implement quality programs; proven track record of creative teaching strategies.
• Ability to form developmentally appropriate relationships with children and promote positive behavior.

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that facilitates Youth Development Outcomes.
• Respond to individual children's interests and needs; encourage exploration with positive guidance.
• Plan and outline curriculum to meet youth needs using emergent curriculum elements.
• Maintain health and safety of all members and track program outcomes.
• Oversee and assist in record-keeping and weekly reporting; ensure effective communication with families.
