Job summary

VEG for Pets in Washington is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced ER team. You will triage, treat, monitor, and support in anesthesia and critical care, collaborating with doctors and a caring team to deliver gold-standard care for pets and their families.

The role emphasizes compassionate communication, technical proficiency, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a busy hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician in the state the VEG practice is located.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat and care for patients while supporting pet parents throughout tests and procedures.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with doctors to shape treatment plans and maintain flow of care.
• Perform CPR when needed and use advanced tools like ultrasound and endoscopy.
