VEG for Pets in Washington, DC seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced emergency team providing gold standard, emotionally intelligent care for a wide range of cases.

You will participate in triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care, collaborating with doctors and staff to support pets and their families in stressful moments.

Qualifications

• Must have AVMA-accredited program degree preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practice state is required; VTS is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Deliver compassionate care and support to pets and their guardians.
• Handle IVs, CRIs, blood products, and other therapies as needed.
• Communicate clearly with the team to plan and maintain smooth care flow.
• Perform CPR when required and support RECOVER-trained protocols.
