Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team in Saint Charles, MO. You will work alongside doctors and staff to deliver gold-standard, compassionate care to pets in critical situations.

You will engage in triage, anesthesia, monitoring, diagnostics, and critical care nursing, while growing your skills and contributing to a high-energy ER culture that values learning and mentorship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state VEG practice is located is required; VTS in ECC is a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software / EMR.
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; ready to support teammates.
• Fine motor skills; ability to stand for long hours and lift up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

• Treat every patient and person like they matter; provide nursing care and emotional support.
• Handle triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Perform CPR and advanced procedures as trained; assist with imaging, sample collection, and tubes placement.
• Collaborate with doctors to shape care plans and ensure smooth care flow.
• Utilize central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds; support teams during emergencies.
