Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line team. You will work closely with doctors to provide rapid triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and compassionate support to pets and their families during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state where the VEG practice is located.
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg (assistance up to 40 kg).
• Strong communication and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, triage, treatments, and monitoring across emergencies.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team to maintain high standards of care.
• Participate in anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Manage communications and support care plans to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Prepare and handle medications, IVs, CRIs, and blood product administration.
