Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front lines of emergency care, handling cases from minor to complex. You will work with doctors and teammates to deliver compassionate, gold‑standard care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program completion preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVMT) in the practice state required.
• 1+ year of veterinary technician experience; emergency or specialty preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist doctors with emergencies, diagnostics, anesthesia, and monitoring.
• Perform CPR and respond quickly in critical cases.
• Utilize diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
• Communicate effectively with team and pet parents as a leader.
• Work in a fast-paced ER environment with other VEGgies.
