Job summary

VEG ER for Pets is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line team. You will triage and manage emergencies, assist doctors with critical care, anesthesia, and monitoring, and provide compassionate support to pet parents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state of the VEG practice is required
• 1+ year in a veterinary technician role; ER or specialty medicine preferred
• Basic computer skills and experience with practice management software/EMR
• Excellent communicator and calm under pressure; team support
• Fine motor skills for handling patients and equipment
• Able to stand long hours; lift up to 25 kg unaided, 40 kg with assistance
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a rotating schedule
• Able to work in a fast-paced, diverse team environment

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care and emotional support during critical moments
• Handle triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions and advanced therapies
• Communicate effectively with team to shape treatment plans
• Perform CPR as trained and maintain readiness
• Manage diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubing placement
• Assist in anesthesia for fragile patients and use advanced techniques
