Job summary

VEG for Pets is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will handle a wide range of emergencies, collaborate with doctors, and deliver gold-standard, compassionate care to pets and their families.

You will perform triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, while growing your skills and contributing to a high-performing VEGgie team. Nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AVMA-accredited vet tech degree strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state of practice.
• 1+ year experience in veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage and treat patients across a range of emergencies.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments.
• Assist with anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Perform diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubing placement.
• Contribute to team plans and maintain smooth care flow during busy periods.
• Execute CPR and participate in RECOVER training and instruction.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with a diverse team.
