Job summary

VEG is seeking a part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care alongside doctors and teammates during triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care.

You will handle a wide range of cases, support pet parents in stressful moments, and continue growing your skills through mentorship and VEG's learning programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited associate or higher preferred.
• Current credential as a veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state the VEG practice is located.
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency/ER experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia and monitoring.
• Perform CPR and handle diagnostics, imaging, sample collection and tubing placement.
• Communicate with the team to shape care plans and ensure smooth workflow.
• Maintain a calm, comforting presence for pets and their families.
