Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group The PC is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Nursing Manager in Oceanside, CA. Lead a clinical nursing team in a fast-paced ER with emphasis on patient care, mentorship, and a culture of learning.

You will oversee scheduling, licensing, education programs, and staff development while partnering with hospital leadership to optimize flow and patient outcomes. This full-time leadership role requires California CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credentials and 5+ years of nursing with 2+

Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician in California is required.
• 5+ years in a clinical veterinary nursing role with 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day flow for nursing team with tools and support.
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, productivity, hiring, onboarding and offboarding.
• Address patient care issues and team dynamics with empathy and clarity.
• Partner with hospital leadership to align on goals and hospital flow.
• Use doctor feedback to guide team development and maintain medical excellence.
• Lead with VEG values—openness, togetherness, and heroic helping.
• Champion a culture of learning with in-house training, mentorship, and development pathways.
• Ensure licensure, performance standards, and education programs are upheld across the team.
• Drive meaningful 1:1s, check-ins, and student mentorship that fuel long-term career growth.
