The Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking a Nursing Manager to lead a dynamic veterinary nursing team in a fast-paced ER. You will empower staff, ensure compassionate patient care, and align processes with VEG values to deliver outstanding emergency services.

Qualifications

• CVT/RVT/LVMT credential in the state of practice required
• 5+ years in a clinical veterinary nursing role, emergency experience preferred
• 2+ years of leadership experience
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Willing to work in a noisy, odorous environment
• rota-night, weekend and holiday availability

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day flow for nursing team with tools and support
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, productivity, hiring, onboarding/offboarding
• Address patient care issues and team dynamics with empathy and clarity
• Partner with hospital leadership to align goals and flow
• Use doctor feedback to guide team development and maintain medical excellence
• Lead with VEG values and promote learning, mentorship, and development pathways
• Ensure licensure, performance standards, and education programs across the team
• Drive 1:1s, check-ins, and student mentorship for career growth
