Veterinary Emergency Group The PC in Carle Place, NY is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to empower a team of credentialed veterinary technicians and assistants. You will lead with empathy, grow your team's skills, and keep care quality and patient safety at the center of every shift.

This full-time role offers leadership growth, a fast-paced environment, and a strong focus on learning, mentorship, and a culture built on supporting our VEGgies and the pets they care for.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a clinical veterinary nursing or technician role.
• Focus on developing leadership skills.
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, and lift up to 25 kg on own and up to 40 kg with assistance.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.
• Work well in a fast-paced environment with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor credentialed veterinary technicians and assistants at all levels.
• Address team issues with clarity and care, protecting patients and team.
• Collaborate with hospital leadership on performance, feedback, recognition, and planning.
• Help design and maintain hospital flow reflecting VEG’s patient-first approach.
• Address customer concerns in real-time and partner with leadership for solutions.
• Keep people and pets together, supported, and cared for during visits.
• Manage nursing schedule, PTO requests, and daily coverage needs.
• Lead team huddles and meetings to keep everyone aligned.
