Job summary

MSPCA-Angell is seeking a Client Care Coordinator in the Emergency Department, a non-clinical role focused on delivering outstanding client service while supporting veterinary staff and patients in a busy hospital setting.

In a fast-paced, 40-hour workweek with second shift hours 12-8:30pm, you will communicate with clients, coordinate care, and guide families through the emergency visit from check-in to discharge.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in veterinary hospital, animal shelter, or human healthcare roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to handle emotionally sensitive situations.

Responsibilities

• Introduce yourself to clients and communicate wait times.
• Serve as primary bridge between veterinarians and clients during outpatient care.
• Identify client and patient needs and assist where possible.
• Assist movement of pets within the hospital.
• Provide status updates via phone, email, and text.
• Facilitate discharge and home care instructions.
• Support families and celebrate patient successes with compassion.
