MSPCA-Angell in Boston seeks a Client Care Coordinator to be the friendly link between hospitalized pets, their families, and the medical team. This non-clinical role emphasizes outstanding client service in a fast-paced veterinary hospital.

The full-time position offers 40 hours per week with varied shifts; you’ll support admissions, discharge, and daily communication, helping families stay informed and comforted while aligning with doctors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary communication bridge between doctors and clients during hospitalization, including answering questions and relaying updates.
• Meet with clients during patient admission, guide drop-off, and set expectations for transfer to hospital care.
• Log information into electronic medical records with patient weight, history, alerts, medications, and care details.
• Document patient caseload across services and provide timely, clear updates via phone, email, text, and in-person channels.
• Ensure discharge requirements are completed by hospital teams and guide clients through home care instructions.
• Facilitate in-person or virtual visits to help families stay connected with hospitalized pets.
• Provide comfort, empathy, and support during all stages of care; celebrate progress and support during difficult outcomes or loss.
