Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Maryland is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our frontline ER team. You will perform triage, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, supporting doctors and providing compassionate care for both pets and their families.

Ideal candidates hold a AVMA-accredited veterinary technology degree or better, and are credentialed in the state. The role offers growth, mentorship, and a culture focused on learning and excellence in emergency

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; AVMA-accredited degree preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician in the state; VTS a plus.
• 1+ years in veterinary technician role; emergency experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Triages, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia and critical care nursing in emergencies.
• Provide nursing care, emotional support, and assist doctors as needed.
• Administer medications, monitoring, and manage IVs and CRIs.
• Assist with imaging, sample collection, and advanced procedures.
