Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is hiring an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our rapidly expanding 24/7 emergency network. You will work on the front lines, triaging and treating patients, performing anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, while supporting pet families in stressful moments.

You’ll collaborate with doctors and VEG teams to deliver gold standard, compassionate care and continue growing your skills through mentorship and ongoing CE opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the practice state is required.
• 1+ years in veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Comfort with practice management software and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Deliver nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and related therapies.
• Communicate as a teammate and help shape care plans.
• Perform CPR and participate in advanced procedures as trained.
• Manage diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tubing placement.
• Support anesthesia care for patients of varying complexity.
