Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group The PC in Indianapolis is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician for swing/overnights. You will join a fast-paced ER team, triaging and delivering compassionate care across a wide range of emergencies.

You’ll work closely with doctors, manage anesthesia, monitoring, and advanced procedures, ensuring support for pet parents in stressful moments. The role requires a CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential, 1+ year of experience, and ability to lift up to 25 kg.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state where VEG practice is located.
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR knowledge; able to lift up to 25 kg; work nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Triage and provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from start to discharge.
• Perform diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing as part of a fast-paced ER team.
• Assist with IVs, monitoring, sample collection, and advanced procedures as needed.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, staff, and pet parents to ensure seamless care.
