Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician in our Omaha, NE clinics. You’ll join a fast-paced team on the front lines of veterinary emergency care, handling cases from triage to critical care alongside doctors and VEG teammates.

You are CVT/RVT/LVMT certified or eligible, with 1+ year in emergency or specialty settings, and you’ll perform a range of duties including anesthesia, monitoring, dosages, and client communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in veterinary technology (AVMA accredited) preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state of practice required.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Deliver nursing care and emotional support during emergencies from triage to discharge.
• Assist with IVs, fluids, blood products, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain smooth patient flow.
• Perform CPR and utilize advanced techniques as needed.
