Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join a fast-paced, front-line emergency team. You will perform triage, nursing care, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care alongside experienced doctors and VEG teams.

You will handle a wide range of emergencies with empathy for pet parents, while continually growing your clinical skills through mentorship, training, and access to ongoing ER CE and travel stipends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state VEG practice is located; VTS in ECC/ internal medicine/ anesthesia a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care from triage to discharge.
• Deliver treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Assist doctors and team, ensure emotionally intelligent care for pets and owners.
• Perform CPR and use advanced techniques and equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with team to maintain smooth workflow in high-stress environments.
