Qualifications

• Credentialed veterinary technician or enrolled in VEG program.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician/assistant role; ER or specialty experience preferred.
• Strong grasp of clinical workflow and team dynamics.
• Ability to stand for prolonged hours and lift up to 25 kg, with assistance for 40 kg shifts.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient status, team bandwidth, and shift-wide needs.
• Manage daily workflow and pivot during emergencies.
• Assign and adapt shift roles with clarity and care.
• Jump in on the floor to assist as needed.
• Coordinate breaks, resolve conflicts, and model calm under pressure.
• Lead shift transitions, team huddles, and end-of-day wrap-ups.
• Communicate clearly, direct questions appropriately, and elevate key issues.
