Veterinary Emergency Group The PC in Palo Alto, CA is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Nurse Trainer. This role leads with curiosity, coaches with compassion, and builds confidence and careers in emergency medicine. You will mentor on the floor, guide peer-led sessions, and develop educational tools hospital-wide.

The position focuses on tailoring training to diverse learning styles, celebrating milestones, and enabling VEGgies to grow within a dynamic, 24/7 ER environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in AVMA-accredited veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LV MT) in the state of practice; VTS in ECC or related fields is a plus.
• Strong emergency medicine knowledge and prior training experience are preferred.

Responsabilités

• Identify individual and team training needs with leadership collaboration.
• Assess assistants and credentialed technicians through observation and immersion.
• Lead VEG Cultivate progression and develop training content and tools.
• Split time between on-the-floor mentoring and strategic program development.
• Provide tailored training for all learning styles and mentor staff.
• Organize peer training and foster a mentoring culture.
• Collaborate with nursing managers to expand impact.
• Develop and refine training content (presentations, videos, simulations, assessments).
• Ensure training aligns with VEG culture, mission and care standards.
• Evaluate and improve leveling programs for staff.
