Job summary

Veterinary Care & Specialty Group (VCSG) in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking a Client Service Representative (CSR) to be the first contact for pet owners during emergencies and routine care. You will triage calls, assist with patient intake and discharge, and support both the veterinary team and clients with compassion and efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and experience in fast-paced veterinary environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Available to work evenings, weekends and some holidays
• Ability to stay calm, focused, and compassionate during emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially under pressure.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, emotionally charged environment with sick or injured animals.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients with empathy, urgency, and professionalism.
• Triage incoming calls and determine appropriate response based on emergency protocols.
• Gather and verify client and patient information; ensure accurate and timely data entry.
• Manage emotionally charged situations with compassion and clarity.
• Process payments, estimates, invoices, and medical records.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the reception and lobby areas.
• Act as a liaison between the veterinary team and clients.
