Job summary

Animal Emergency & Specialty Center in Poulsbo, WA, is seeking experienced Client Care Specialists to support client communication, patient flow, and administrative coordination in a fast-paced emergency and specialty hospital. You will facilitate financial discussions, document communications, and assist with intake, discharge, and room turnover.

Ideal candidates have strong communication skills, experience in high-volume settings, and comfort with hospital systems like EzyVet and SmartFlow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in emergency, specialty, or high-volume clinical settings preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a client-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients in person, over the phone, and electronically, providing clear, compassionate, and timely communication.
• Respond to client inquiries and provide patient updates under DVM guidance, including medical status, diagnostics, wait times, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Accurately document all client communication in the medical record in accordance with hospital policy.
• Coordinate visitation scheduling and assist with client movement throughout the hospital.
• Create, review, and present treatment plans and estimates based on DVM recommendations.
• Obtain client authorization for treatment and manage deposits, payments, and refunds.
