Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health seeks a Part-time Client Care Specialist at our Poulsbo, WA hospital. This blended role supports client communication, patient flow, and administrative coordination in an emergency and specialty setting.

You will liaise with clients, veterinarians, and clinical teams, handle financial discussions, intake and discharge, and ensure smooth room turnover. Prior experience in high-volume clinical settings is preferred; training for additional responsibilities will be provided.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a client-centered approach.
• Working knowledge of veterinary terminology and hospital workflows.
• Ability to manage competing priorities with attention to detail.
• Comfort discussing finances and treatment options with clients.
• Familiarity with hospital systems like EzyVet and SmartFlow.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for clients in person, by phone, and electronically with clear, compassionate communication.
• Document all client communication in medical records per hospital policy.
• Coordinate visitation scheduling and client movement throughout the hospital.
• Create and present treatment plans and estimates based on DVM recommendations.
• Collect deposits, payments, and refunds; track patient financial status per shift.
