Job summary

LEHR is seeking an Emergency Vehicle 12V Installer at our Troy location to build and install critical equipment on emergency vehicles. You will remove old components, install lights, sirens, cameras, and communication systems, and perform 12V wiring with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires EVT certification or equivalent experience, ability to read wiring diagrams, and comfort working with hand and power tools. Strong teamwork and a valid driver’s license are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Experience with 12V electrical systems is required.
  • EVT certification or one year of experience with emergency vehicle equipment installation.
  • Ability to read schematics or wiring diagrams.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools.
  • Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in/around vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and on a team.

Responsibilities

  • Remove factory-installed interior and exterior vehicle components.
  • Install emergency vehicle equipment, including light bars, sirens, speakers, push bumpers, partitions, and more.
  • Install cameras, computers, and license plate recognition systems.
  • Perform 12V electrical wiring and system installations.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
  • Organize tools and inventory.
