Job summary

LEHR in Reno, NV is hiring an Emergency Vehicle Upfit Installer to turn hands-on mechanical and electrical aptitude into a rewarding career. If you enjoy building, wiring, repairing, or customizing vehicles, we offer training for the right candidate and a path to growth in a collaborative shop.

In this full-time role, you will install light bars, sirens, cameras, and 12V electrical systems, follow safety procedures, organize tools, and support a growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in/around vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience with 12V electrical systems.
• Ability to read schematics or wiring diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Remove factory-installed interior and exterior vehicle components.
• Install emergency vehicle equipment, including light bars, sirens, speakers, push bumpers, partitions, and more.
• Install cameras, computers, and license plate recognition systems.
• Perform 12V electrical wiring and system installations.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
• Organize tools and inventory.
