Job summary

LEHR is hiring for an entry-level position in Stuart, Florida, offering hands-on training to build and install emergency vehicle equipment. You will work with hand and power tools, lifting up to 50 lbs, and collaborate with a team to fit lights, sirens, cameras, and electrical systems in vehicles.

Training is provided, and opportunities for ongoing growth, with a trainee wage range starting at $19–$24 per hour based on experience. The schedule is weekday, with no weekends, at Stuart, FL.

Qualifications

• Experience using hand tools and power tools.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude or hands-on experience.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in/around vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Remove factory-installed interior and exterior vehicle components.
• Install emergency vehicle equipment, including light bars, sirens, speakers, push bumpers, partitions, and more.
• Install cameras, computers, and license plate recognition systems.
• Perform 12V electrical wiring and system installations.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
• Organize tools and inventory.
