You will operate snowplows, inspect equipment, manage anti-icing chemicals, and support inventory and traffic control during snow events across several locations in District 6A.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL with no Airbrake Restriction and obtain Tanker Endorsement within 6 months.
• Incumbent must pass pre-placement drug test for marijuana, cocaine, opiates, PCP, amphetamines and acetyl morphine.
• Must be registered in FMCSA CDL Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Experience or education substitution allowed: Heavy Equipment Operation program may substitute for one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintains roadways for snow and ice control.
• Prepares and inspects winter equipment.
• Performs preseason snow route inspection and post-storm cleanup.
• Transfers anti-icing and de-icing chemicals as needed.
• Install, repair and maintain snow fences and mailboxes.
• Maintain documentation on snow and ice data for inventory/reporting.
• Set up traffic control and notify dispatch of disabled vehicles.
