St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Services Nursing Manager to lead daily operations of the emergency department, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

The role requires RN licensure, a BSN, and supervisory experience, with strong emphasis on evidence-based practice and performance improvement. The manager will oversee staffing, admissions and discharges, and coordinate cross-disciplinary care to optimize patient outcomes and experience in a large, multi-site

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• MSN preferred.
• 1+ year experience in healthcare required.
• 1+ year in supervisory role preferred.
• Specialty Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or hold a compact license.
• Texas non-compact license requires applying for TX RN license within 60 days and obtaining TX license within 6 months.
• BLS.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• The Manager ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the unit/department's daily function and staffing.
• Operationalize evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Support efforts to improve efficiency, accountability, and transparency in care delivery.
• Assist in achieving internal/external benchmarks, accreditations, and designations.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Manage admissions and discharge processes to ensure throughput and quality care.
• Facilitate interdisciplinary care coordination and assign qualified staff.
• Lead to deliver an exceptional patient experience and benchmark patient satisfaction.
