St. David’s North Austin Medical Center in Cedar Park, TX is seeking an Emergency Services Nursing Manager to lead the ED’s daily operations, staffing, and patient-centered care.

The role focuses on clinical excellence, compliance with standards, and cross-disciplinary collaboration while developing staff and improving patient safety and experience.

BSN required; MSN preferred; 1+ year healthcare experience with supervisory responsibilities; BLS and ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• MSN preferred.
• 1+ year experience in healthcare.
• 1+ year in supervisory role preferred.
• Specialty Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Currently licensed as an RN in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license.
• Texas RN license must be obtained within 6 months of hire if coming from another state.
• BLS
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily function and staffing of the unit/department.
• Monitor nursing care in accordance with policies and procedures; hold staff accountable for quality outcomes.
• Lead efforts to improve patient safety, outcomes, and patient experience.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Manage admissions and discharges to support efficient throughput and high-quality care.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and assign staff with appropriate competencies.
• Foster teamwork and leadership to enhance patient satisfaction and organizational outcomes.
