Job summary

Amery Hospital & Clinic in Amery, WI seeks an Emergency Room Technician (ERT) to support the ER team with routine treatments, specimen collection, and clerical tasks. The role requires prioritizing patient needs and timely reporting to the registered nurse.

Work schedule features 12-hour shifts (0700-1900 and 1900-0700) with shifts varying by department needs. Required qualifications include a high school diploma and BLS certification; preferred credentials include National EMS programs and WI

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• BLS certification required.
• Preferred: completion of National EMS program.
• WI EMT/AEMT/Paramedic/LPN/CNA license preferred.
• Three years experience as CNA/LPN/EMT preferred.
• Experience in EPIC computer system.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine treatments in ER.

Job description

As the Emergency Room Technician (ERT) in Amery Hospital & Clinic's Emergency Department, you will perform routine treatments, assist in the collection of patient specimens (urine, stool, and finger stick blood glucose) and provide clerical support to staff such as ordering supplies. In this role, you must be able to prioritize the urgency of patient needs, initiate the appropriate interventions of care and accurately report patient data to RN in a timely manner.

Work Schedule:

12-hour shifts (0700-1900 and 1900-0700)

Shifts will vary depending on department need

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of National EMS program
• Current EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, LPN or CNA license in the state of Wisconsin
• Three years experience as a CNA, LPN or EMT preferred.
• Experience in EPIC computer system.
