Job summary

HealthPartners Hudson Hospital & Clinic seeks an Emergency Room Technician (ERT) to coordinate patient care in the Emergency Center. Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the ERT provides direct patient care in the EC, supporting timely, high-quality care.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, current BLS, and one of WI EMT, WI Nursing Assistant with acute care hours, or prior ER technician experience (2080 hours in last 2 years).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification required at time of hire/start date.
• Must have at least one of: WI EMT Certification; WI Nursing Assistant certification with acute care experience (2080 hours in last 2 years); ER Technician experience (2080 hours in last 2 years).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care in the Emergency Center under RN direction.
• Provide direct care to patients in the EC.

Job description

Responsible for coordination of patient care in the Emergency Center (EC) as the Emergency Room Technician (ERT). Under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN), the Emergency Room Technician (ERT) is responsible for direct care of the patients within the EC.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification required at time of hire/start date.
• Must have at least one of the following:
  • Current WI EMT Certification
  • Current WI Nursing Assistant certification with experience in an acute care setting (minimum 2080 hours worked within last 2 years)
  • Experience as an Emergency Room Technician (minimum 2080 hours worked within last 2 years)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current beside experience preferred.
• Electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Clerical experience preferred.
