Job summary

Hudson Hospital & Clinic is seeking an Emergency Room Technician to support the Emergency Center under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will provide hands-on patient care and help coordinate care across the team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires BLS, and one of WI EMT, WI Nursing Assistant with acute care hours, or ER Technician experience. This position is on-site in Hudson, WI with a rotating schedule and weekend coverage as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current BLS certification required at time of hire/start date.
  • Must have at least one: WI EMT Certification, WI Nursing Assistant certification with acute care experience (2080 hours in last 2 years), or ER Technician experience (2080 hours in last 2 years).

Responsibilities

  • Support patients in the Emergency Center under RN supervision.
  • Provide hands‑on patient care and assist with care coordination.
  • Contribute to a fast‑paced, collaborative team delivering quality care.

Job Description

Join our Emergency Center team as an Emergency Room Technician (ERT) and play an important role in supporting patients during some of their most critical moments. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), you’ll provide hands-on patient care and help coordinate care throughout the Emergency Center. This is an opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your skills, compassion, and teamwork directly contribute to a positive patient experience.

Work Schedule

.6 FTE, 12-hour shift- 7p-730a, including every 3rd weekend rotation. Note: may be expected to work 8-hour shifts during Holiday.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Current BLS certification required at time of hire/start date.
  • Must have at least one of the following:
    • Current WI EMT Certification
    • Current WI Nursing Assistant certification with experience in an acute care setting (minimum 2080 hours worked within last 2 years)
    • Experience as an Emergency Room Technician (minimum 2080 hours worked within last 2 years)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current beside experience preferred.
  • Electronic medical record experience preferred.
  • Clerical experience preferred.
