Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Current BLS CPR certification or obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in at least one healthcare setting or direct patient care.

• Must demonstrate age-appropriate patient care knowledge and growth/development understanding.

Responsibilities

• Aid with patient care and room prep under nursing staff direction.
• Transport patients safely and manage supplies for daily care needs.
• Register patients and handle clerical duties; maintain ED cleanliness.
• Display service excellence aligned with the organization's mission and values.
• Comply with policies to ensure quality and compliance.
• Train and maintain competency in phlebotomy, nasal/throat cultures, and drug screens.
• Document ED charges and assist with telephone communications.
• Maintain unit competencies and assist in fast-paced environment.
