Job summary

University Hospitals in Westlake, Ohio seeks an ED Support Technician to assist patients and clinicians during Emergency Department visits. You will perform 12‑lead EKGs, blood draws, initiate Hep-locks, bedside point-of-care testing, and gain IV access as directed.

You will help prepare patients and the care environment, complete routine quality checks, defibrillator and refrigerator checks, and transport as needed.

Qualifications

• Annual competency-based assessment and orientation program.

Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• For specific duties, refer to orientation documentation.
• Safely maintain PHI; complete annual PHI training and UH policies.
