Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee in Kankakee, IL is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services unit. This full-time night position (7p–7:30a) offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and a competitive compensation range of $35.35–$53.58 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certificate required at hire; maintain current.
• ALS certificate within 30 days of hire; maintain current.
• PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire; maintain current.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in Telemetry.
• Direct patient care and patient/family teaching.
• Coordinate care in the Emergency Department and communicate with physicians.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; comply with EMTALA regulations.
• Lead and support nursing staff in the ED.
