Job summary

St. Mary's Hospital - Kankakee is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Services department. The role encompasses delivering safe patient care, coordinating with physicians, and guiding patient/family education in a busy telemetry setting.

The position offers a full-time night shift (7p–7:30a) with a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates and a comprehensive benefits package within a major healthcare network.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• ALS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS certification and/or ENPC within 60 days of hire and maintained.
• CEN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
