Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast in Texas is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room. This full-time night-shift role empowers your voice in patient care and offers opportunities through hospital councils and national nursing initiatives.

You will coordinate high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborate with physicians and care teams, and educate patients and families while supporting outcomes and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• ACLS within 90 days
• BLS within 30 days
• TNCC within 1 year
• PALS within 90 days
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Assess pain regularly and promote effective pain management with reassessments after interventions.
• Perform procedures and monitor as ordered; document care in the medical record promptly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to resolve issues.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up measures.
• Teach about non-medicinal follow-up, healthy lifestyle changes, and self-management.
