Methodist Hospital in San Antonio, TX seeks an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for full-time evening shifts. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team, document care accurately, and support ongoing clinical education.

The role emphasizes safe, compassionate care, pain management, and patient teaching as part of a dynamic ED team. You will work within established nursing models, participate in hospital councils and national nursing initiatives,

Qualifications

• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment start date
• BLS certification within 30 days of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 6 months of employment start date
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse and 6 months minimum experience
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or PALS within 90 days of start date
• Compact RN license endorsement to Texas within 60 days

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered ED care with the care team.
• Assess patient pain regularly and manage with reassessment after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other tasks as ordered and document in the medical record.
• Provide patient and family education about condition, plan, and follow‑up measures.
• Advocate for patients and support ongoing clinical education and collaboration.
