Job summary

Emerus is seeking an ER nurse to perform the core functions of assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Department. The role emphasizes age-specific nursing care, documentation, and adherence to physician orders, with responsibilities spanning admissions, discharges, and procedural support.

Qualified candidates have an Associate's Degree in Nursing, PA RN licensure, 2+ years ER experience, and current BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum 2 years ER or comparable experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC preferred.
• English fluency in speaking and writing.
• Act 33/Act 73 clearances completed within last 5 years or must be obtained before start.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, direct, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Room.
• Plan, prioritize, and provide age-specific nursing care.
• Complete accurate, legible documentation in medical records.
• Observe and record signs, symptoms, and patient status.
• Follow physician’s orders in delivering care.
• Collect laboratory samples and perform testing per policies.
• Adhere to infection control and aseptic techniques.
• Handle admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Participate in nursing care planning and evaluation.
• Assemble equipment for diagnostic or treatment procedures.
