Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in the Emergency Room. You will lead daily nursing operations, guide staff, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care during your shift, collaborating with management to implement policies and drive clinical outcomes.

In this role you will oversee admissions and discharges, schedule staff, and participate in quality assessments, while promoting a patient-first philosophy and engaging in service recovery when needed.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required.
• RN license in state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required within specified timelines.
• Less than 1 year of applicable experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care during the shift.
• Coordinate admission/discharge processes for efficient throughput.
• Collaborate with management to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Serve as a resource for staff and model organizational values.
• Support staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs.
• Provide recommendations for interviewing, training, and staff development.
• Assist with inventory control and supplies management.
• Foster teamwork and a patient-first philosophy, including service recovery when needed.
