Job summary

Pride Health seeks an experienced Emergency Room RN for a travel assignment. Louisiana RN license or Compact license required, with 2+ years ER/ED experience and Epic charting experience. First-time travelers accepted; candidates must reside more than 65 miles from the facility. Weekend coverage is required (every other weekend).

On-call not required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI, NIHSS. Able to care for adult and pediatric emergencies with strong triage and critical-care skills.

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana RN license or Compact RN license in hand at submission.
• Minimum 2 years of ER/ED experience.
• Previous Epic charting experience is required.
• Experience handling approximately 1:4 patient ratios.
• Ability to care for both adult and pediatric emergency patients.
• Strong triage, emergency assessment, and critical-care skills.

Required Qualifications

• Previous Epic charting experience is required
• Experience handling approximately 1:4 patient ratios
• Ability to care for both adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Strong triage, emergency assessment, and critical-care skills
• First-time travel nurses are accepted
• Travel experience is not required

Required Certifications

ER nurses must have CPI or be able to obtain it before the assignment starts.

Candidates must be willing to work 2 of the following 4 designated holiday periods annually:

• Halloween
• Thanksgiving
• New Year's

Halloween is not considered a paid holiday, but units may still require traveler coverage.

Holiday scheduling is based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation.

Weekend coverage is required, including every other weekend.
