Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ED/ER) in Springfield, MA. The role requires AM/Day shifts with potential 4×12-hour alternative schedules, and a weekly gross pay of $2,600–$2,700 for 36 hours.

You will manage multiple high-acuity patients, collaborate with the care team, and ensure rapid, protocol-based interventions. Minimum 2 years in ED or ICU post-orientation, BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent ED or ICU experience.
• Experience must be post-orientation.
• Comfort caring for high-acuity and unstable patients.
• Strong critical care and emergency nursing skills required.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions and unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess, prioritize, and provide nursing care to patients with varying levels of acuity.
• Manage multiple patients while maintaining safe and effective care.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to rapidly deteriorating or critically ill patients.
• Provide emergency and critical care interventions according to established protocols.
• Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and emergency-care standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a large, high-volume, fast-paced ED environment.
