Job summary

AAA Washington is seeking a field technician to provide emergency roadside assistance to members. You will perform services such as jump-starts, battery testing, tire changes, gas delivery, and lock-outs while towing vehicles when needed.

The role requires driving skills, mechanical aptitude, and strong customer service. The position supports hybrid/remote work options for eligible roles at our Bellevue corporate office, with a safety‑sensitive schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass DOT physical.
• Must pass pre-employment, post-accident, and random drug screenings per policy.
• 3+ years in automotive and/or customer service fields.
• 1+ years of mechanical aptitude/mechanical reasoning.
• Must be at least 21 years old due to insurance and driver requirements.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency service requests and provide roadside assistance (jump-starts, battery testing, battery installation, tire changes, gasoline delivery, lock-out).
• Tow vehicles to specified locations following safety procedures.
• Be the face of AAA Washington for stranded members.
• Provide customer service to members and other departments.
• Inform supervisor of vehicle or operational issues.
• Perform minor repairs on fleet vehicles.
• Contribute to a positive team dynamic and collaborative goals.
• Embody AAA’s mission and values in daily work.
