National EMR is seeking reservists to assist impacted communities and first responders on an as-needed basis. Reservists are deployed with 6–12 hour readiness, may travel within 24–48 hours, and receive pay based on job classification.

The role emphasizes emergency management support across disaster responses including hurricane, wildfires, and mass casualty events. Responsibilities include maintaining readiness, completing required ISC/FEMA training, and staying active in agency systems.

Qualifications

• Must maintain deployable status and physical/mental readiness for emergency environments on short notice.
• Adhere to professional integrity and comply with all applicable laws and workplace expectations.
• Provide proof of valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing (annual review).
• Pass background check and drug screening (pre-deployment or random).
• Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and communicate effectively (verbal and written).
• Able to respond to diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and community needs with sensitivity.
• Maintain endurance for extended operations (12-hour shifts, nights, weekends, holidays).
• Available for on-call duty and may be required to work flexible hours.
• Support survivors and communities during disasters when alerted.
• Maintain readiness to deploy within 6-12 hours of activation.
• Update availability by the 27th of each month in National EMR app.

Responsabilités

• Understand and adhere to National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual and Operations Manual.
• Deploy within 6–12 hours of activation and update availability.
• Complete agency-directed training including Just-In-Time (JIT) training and mission-specific modules.
• Promote safety by identifying hazards and reporting concerns.
• Foster a culture of safe work practices and report safety concerns to chain of command.
• Maintain active status within agency platforms and complete required training.
• Participate in or support disaster preparedness, response, and recovery initiatives.
• Be flexible to serve in any position during critical circumstances.
• Solve day-to-day operational issues and meet short-term performance goals.
• Support survivors and communities by being available at a moment’s notice.
• Maintain personal readiness to deploy within 6-12 hours of activation.
• Update upcoming availability by the 27th of each month.
• Other duties as assigned.
