National Emergency Management and Response seeks experienced registered nurses to serve as reservists. You will deploy to support incident responses on an as-needed basis, including hurricane, wildfire, and mass care operations.

Formación

• Associate or higher nursing degree.
• Current RN license in state of residence; compact license preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a registered nurse.
• IC 100, IC 200, IC 700, IC 800; IC 300/IC 400 must be completed within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Understand and adhere to National EMR Policies and Procedures Manual, Uniform Handbook, and Operations Manual.
• Foster a culture that encourages team members to work safely and report safety concerns immediately to their direct chain of command.
• Maintain active status within the agency's platforms and complete training as directed.
• Implement, collaborate and monitor established health care plans for service population as prescribed by a provider and applying nursing guidelines.
• Review, write and update medical protocols and procedures in collaboration with Medical Services Division.
• Initiate medical services to ensure they meet state, federal and program requirements and maintain a safe clinic setting.
• Validate completion of nursing duties in accordance with regulatory authorities and program protocols.
• Supervise and oversee site medical staff to execute medical services and medication administration as ordered.
• Communicate with pharmacies on prescription medications and ensure deliveries comply with orders.
• Coordinate with Medical Director on policy and procedure issues affecting care quality and disease control.
• Maintain adequate medication supplies and proper disposal of unused medications.
• Oversee MAR development and auditing for each client.
• Arrange transport of children to health care appointments.
• Maintain documentation of controlled drugs and reconcile inventories.
• Other duties as assigned.
