Job summary

National Emergency Management and Response seeks reservist Paramedics to support impacted communities during emergencies. The role involves intermittent deployments, documentation duties, and coordination of medical staff at designated sites.

Training emphasizes HIPAA, incident command concepts, and rapid response readiness. Reservists may work nights, weekends, and holidays with pay based on actual hours worked.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Paramedic required.
• Registered Paramedic license in state of residence required.
• Current Paramedic license in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, and/or North Carolina preferred.
• Current NREMT preferred.
• ALS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, enter, and ensure documentation for medical staff at designated site(s).
• Maintain confidentiality of health care records and PHI requirements.
• Perform and supervise medical staff to perform clinic duties as directed by chain of command.
• Direct and train medical staff and coordinate services following policies and guidelines.
• Monitor health care plans for service population within established timeframes.
• Participate in or supervise disaster preparedness, response, and recovery initiatives as needed.
• Be prepared to deploy within 6-12 hours of activation.
• Work 12+ hour shifts in austere conditions.
• Direct and train staff to meet response requirements.
• Travel and adapt to rapidly changing disaster environments.
