On-Call Incident Management Reservist

Job summary

National EMR seeks reservists to support all-hazards incident management teams on an as-needed basis. This is not a full-time role, and reservists may be deployed 24–48 hours after activation with compensation based on hours worked and job classification.

Responsibilities include deploying to emergencies, performing ICS duties, assisting with action planning, coordination, and safety, and maintaining readiness and records as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; substitution: 1 year of relevant work per year of education.
• Proof of IS-100.c, IS-200.b, IS-700.b, IS-800.c completion required.
• In-person courses: ICS 300 and ICS 400 completed prior to consideration.

Responsibilities

• Deploy as part of all-hazards IMT during emergencies and planned operations.
• Perform assigned ICS position responsibilities per NIMS/ICS doctrine.
• Assist with incident action planning, ops coordination, resource management, and situational awareness.
• Participate in briefings, planning meetings, and command staff activities.
• Support establishment and operation of ICPs, EOCs, JOCs, or Unified Command structures.
• Maintain incident documentation and records.
• Adhere to National EMR policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Maintain deployable status and readiness to work on short notice.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, Homeland Security, Public Administration or related field
