Job summary

National EMR seeks reservists to support impacted communities and first responders on an as-needed basis. Reservists are deployed within 24-48 hours, paid for actual hours worked, and not guaranteed length or frequency of deployments.

National EMR provides opportunities to serve in various incident roles, maintains active readiness, and emphasizes safety, training, and rapid response in emergency management scenarios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, Homeland Security, Public Administration or related field preferred, but not required.
• Experience in government or first responder roles is desirable.
• Ability to deploy within 6-12 hours and maintain readiness.

Responsibilities

• Understand and adhere to National EMR policies and procedures.
• Maintain personal readiness to deploy within 6-12 hours of activation.
• Complete agency-directed training and Just-In-Time modules.
• Promote safety and report hazards promptly.
• Be flexible to serve in various roles during deployments.
• Provide support to survivors and communities at short notice.
