Job summary

Hagerty Consulting, Inc. is seeking Emergency Management Planners for the Response Cadre to support state and local governments during disaster missions. Members may deploy to EOC sites and field environments for a minimum of 30 days with travel on short notice.

These are contract-based deployments and not full-time staff positions. Candidates should be prepared for on-call travel within 24–72 hours and to be deployed anywhere in the United States.

Qualifications

• Three years of professional experience in emergency management or related field (EOC/IMT/Planning).
• Understanding of NIMS/ICS and how jurisdictions coordinate during large incidents.
• Willing to be on-call for travel within 24–72 hours and deployed for at least 30 days anywhere in the United States.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts as needed based on client’s tempo.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, SharePoint).
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with focus on plans and procedures.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an adviser in the Planning Section in a government client environment using ICS.
• Research, track data, and create reports for clients responsible for decision making.
• Provide administrative support and take notes during briefings as needed.
• Coordinate with logistics and operations staff to ensure mission success.
• Support completion of incident objectives and coordinate with partner agencies and ESFs.
